Smoking cigarettes poses many risks to health including lung and other cancers, emphysema, heart disease, strokes and asthma. It can also have a negative effect on others by increasing the risk of getting the same health conditions as smokers. Not to mention the toxic chemicals in each cigarette with each cigarette releasing around 5000 chemicals when they burn including carbon monoxide, arsenic, formaldehyde, ammonia and lead.
The health benefits to yourself and others are a major reason why a person may choose to quit smoking, but another huge benefit is the amount of money that you can save. Based on a person smoking 1 x 20 pack of cigarettes per day, this costs around £3822 per annum. Just think what you could do with that money when you return to being a non-smoker!
It can be difficult to overcome the habit of smoking cigarettes using will power alone. Hypnotherapy can be an effective tool to break the habit of smoking as habitual behaviours and beliefs are stored in the subconscious which is the part of the mind that is worked on in hypnosis. It is easier than you think to break the habit of smoking by breaking the beliefs surrounding it.
You must really want to stop smoking and be fully committed for the process to work.
Only one session is required to quit smoking. This will be a two hour in depth session to make sure the habit is gone for good.
I will send a form to complete prior to our first session. If you are coming for an in-person session, just bring yourself! If we are having an online session, a reliable internet connection and a comfortable place to sit during the session is required.
*Hypnotherapy is an effective tool which can be used to successfully treat a variety of issues; however, success is not 100% guaranteed and commitment from the client is an important part of the process.
Hypnosis is not 100% guaranteed to work for every condition in every person. It depends on the person’s commitment to change and whether the subconscious mind will accept the suggestions made in hypnosis. However, for many conditions, hypnotherapy is highly successful, for example, it is listed as an effective therapy for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). Working with the subconscious mind is an extremely powerful tool which can be used to make permanent changes, almost everyone can be hypnotised, however a person cannot be hypnotised if they do not want to be!
Hypnotherapy can help with a wide range of conditions such as anxiety, depression, stress, insomnia, fears, phobias, pain, infertility, smoking and weight issues. Hypnotherapy can also be used to increase confidence or performance, for example in sport, work or creativity. Hypnotherapy can also be used for past life regression.
This depends on the nature of the goal or desired outcome that you wish to achieve. This can range from a single session or more. Prior to any treatment taking place, a free consultation will be given where a detailed history will be taken and any questions that you have can be answered. The number of approximate sessions needed will be discussed during the initial consultation.
